What to do if your game doesn't start? Gives problems? Or gives other faultcodes?   First of all it can be caused by downloads - so first remove the map Downloads (my documents/Electronic Arts/Sims3) and the map Mods (program files/Electronic Arts/Sims3) to your desktop (or other place you wanna save them). Start the game. Still problems? Then the only thing you can do is remove al the stuff you want to save, savedgames, screenshots, video, downloads (if you did the first step you already did this) and put them also on your desktop or anywere you wanna save them. Make sure your videocard is up to date Remove the game and remove EA Download manager After removing make sure if you don't see any more maps of the Sims3 game (my documents and program files) or EADM, if you see them still, delete them. Install sims3 basegame without EADM After installing sims3 go to EADM and download and install the newest Downloadmanager (upperright conner in blue) Install the other expansions Start the game and shut it down again (just starting up the launcher will do, you don't need to start the whole game) Put back the maps you have saved before You also will need the files dll and cfg for downloads You can download them here Now also install DirectX 9.0 if you don't have it yet Now you can play again! Probably you will get the message that the Sims3Launcher isn't working, but if you will wait the game will start! This has nothing to do if your game is downloaded or not. Also buyed games will give this fault message because its a fault of EA itself. Have fun with it!
