Remove from Registry,
Although Revo Uninstaller can do it all for you, it still happens that people think they can remove a game by simply deleting to folders.
By doing so, you have also deleted the uninstall programm and you are now stuck with registry-entries you can only get rid off biy manual deletion.
Make a backup of your registry:
Keep Windows-key pressed down and press R
Type regedit in the window and click on OK
Click on File on the menubar and select Export
Choose a location and a name, f.e. Desktop and Registry-backup
Click on Save
Removal of the registry keys:
1. Open the folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. 2. Open the folder SOFTWARE. 3. Open the folder Electronic Arts. 4. Open the folder Sims. 5. Right-clcik on the folder The Sims 3 en select Remove. 6. Close the folder Electronic Arts. 7. Open the folder Sims. (scroll down to find iit below) 8. Right-click on the folder The Sims3 and select Remove. 9. Close the folder Sims. 10. Open the folder Microsoft. 11. Open the folder Windows. 12. Open the folder CurrentVersion. 13. Open the folder Uninstall. 14. Remove the folder (if it exists): • {C05D8CDB-417D-4335-A38C-A0659EDFD6B8} 11. Close the folder Microsoft. 12. Open the folder Classes. 13. Remove the folders (if they exist) • .Sims3 (note the dot) • .Sims3Pack (note the dot) • Sims3 (without a dot) • Sims3Pack (without a dot) 14. Click on File in the menubar en select Close (Exit)
Remove the uninstall files:
1. Click on Start en select Computer. 2. Find the Local Disk (C:). 3. Find the folder Program Files. 4. Select Extra - Mapoptions - View - Show hidden files and folders and click on OK 5. Select the folder InstallShield Installation Information. 6. Remove {C05D8CDB-417D-4335-A38C-A0659EDFD6B8}, if it exists.
The Sims3 is now completely removed from the registry
