Play game without DVD,

 

Many people don't like toying around with their expensively bought DVD's. Placing it in and out of the computer can cause scratching or other damage to your precious discs.

Unfortunately there are at present no NoCD-cracks that also work well after updating.

That is why I use a virtual DVD-player in combination with a virtual DVD. Simply said a non-existing DVD-station and a non-existing DVD. 

This require the installation of certain programms like Alcohol, Daemon or PowerIso. I use PowerIso becuase it is free, simple and it does not interfere with other programms on your computer.

A. How do you do it ?

  1. Download  PowerIso
  2. Select Run
  3. After installation you will notice a golden CD on your desktop with the name PowerIso

B. Make a PowerIso .daa file of your original Sims3 disc.

  1. Placee the original DVD in your computer
  2. Start PowerIso
  3. Ignore the message and continue unregistered
  4. Click on Copy
  5. Select your DVD station
  6. A new .daa will be created in My Documents
  7. You now have a virtual DVD (golden icon named Sims 3)

C. Mount the virtual DVD into your virtual DVD-station

  1. Open PowerIso
  2. Click on the icon Mount
  3. Select mount image to virtual drive
  4. Select your golden DVD from My Documents
  5. Select Options and select automatic

Now go to My Computer and you'll notice that you have an additionsl DVD player and drive-letter and the name Sims3.

That's all - Remove your original DVD from your computer and start the game.

You can do the same of course with Worldadventures, High-End Loft stuff, Ambitions, Fast Lane, Late Night
