Backup game,   Making a backup of your game can save you from a lot of missery, so backup your game regularly How to make a backup of your game: 1. Go to My Documents / Electronic Arts / Sims3 2. Right-click on Sims3 and choose Copy 3. Go to your desktop (or some other place you want) and right-click again and choose Past 4. Do you have Packages in your game? Then also make a copy of the map Mods (Program Files / Electronic Arts / Sims 3 / Mods) How to put a backup back into your game? 1. Go to My Documents / Electronic Arts / TheSims3 2. Right-click and choose Delete 3. Go to your backup, right-click and choose Copy 4. Go back to My Documents / Electronic Arts 5. Right-click and choose Past 6. Also put back the Mods map if you have removed that too. Why should you do this? When a update/patch fails you often get the message "basegame is'nt compitable anymore - look here When you have removed an old installation with Revo, then you will loose everything and everything will be gone. An installation of a expansion/accessoire can go wrong, then you need to re-install all over again and you will loose your gamedate too A download of clothes, hair, a house or sim can 'ruin' your game. If you don't know which download is causing the problem then it's possible you have to remove it all and start over again and you will loose you game data too if you didn't have a backup of it. What more you can do with a backup? Suggest your game has odd behaviour, it slows down, get stuck, give a faultcode or just stops. Most of the time downloads are causing the problem, but sometimes there can be other causes. A quick check can be preformed as defined above. After that go to My Documents / Electronic Arts / Sims 3 Right-click on the map Sims 3 and Delete it Now start your game again.
