Manual Updating,


There is a way to update your game manualy:
look her for an explanation about TSBin maps

First try the most easy way:

  • Open the map TSBin
    C:\\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims2\
  • Click on TS2UPD0
  • When you get an error then go further with step 2

Step 2:

  1. Move the Sims2.exe from TSBin of The Sims2 to your desktop
  2. Copy a random exe file from an other expansion to TSBin of The Sims2
  3. Change it's name Sims2EPx (x is the number of the expansion) to Sims2
  4. Click on TS2UPD0
  5. Program will ask for CD4 and update will start


    In this example I've used the exe file of Apartementslife and changed the name Sims2EP8 into Sims2

When you will click TS2UPD0 again after updating you will get the reassuring mesage:

If everything works fine you can delete the Sims2.exe from your desktop (or save it in case you will need it again)
